Military Thriving™

as a Community

Building a Military Thriving community requires a coalition of the willing made up of key stakeholders from the public, private and nonprofit sectors that collaborate to achieve shared goals, objectives, and outcomes. Military friendly communities aim to attract and keep service members, Veterans and their families in the region with tax incentives, opportunities for employment, and lifestyle perks and amenities. To go beyond and get to Military Thriving, communities must also offer significant opportunities for transitioning service members, Veterans and military spouses to find meaningful employment as well as entrepreneurs to own small businesses, provide opportunities for continued service, and a connected community.
